Recent results on screening masses

چکیده
Recent results for screening masses at high temperature are presented. The spatial correlation functions of operators with meson quantum numbers were obtained on quenched gauge configurations with non-perturbatively improved Wilson quarks as well as, in a different round of analysis, on the NF = 2+1 configurations generated in the course of RBC-Bielefeld’s analysis of the Equation of State. While vector and axial vector channels signal the restoration of chiral symmetry in both cases, in 2 + 1 flavor QCD pseudoscalar and isovector scalar become degenerate only at a temperature higher than the chiral crossover one, thus indicating that the UA(1) is effectively restored only at higher temperatures. In the investigated temperature range pseudoscalar and vector screening masses do not become equal, contrary to the free case and to leading order perturbation theory. For the quenched Wilson case the differences could be established in the infinite volume continuumm limit.

Screening Masses in SU(2) Pure Gauge Theory
We perform a systematic scaling study of screening masses in pure gauge SU(2) theory at temperatures above the phase transition temperature. The major finite volume effect is seen to be spatial deconfinement. We extract the screening masses in the infinite volume and zero lattice spacing limit. We find that these physical results can be deduced from runs on rather coarse lattices. Dimensional r...
متن کاملScreening masses in thermal and dense medium
Screening masses of different hadronic states are studied in thermal and dense medium on lattice. It has been found that screening masses increase with the temperature. In deconfinement phase, chemical potential enhances the screening masses. We use the normalization with respect to lowest Matsubara frequency to characterize dissolving of hadronic bound states at high temperatures. It has been ...
متن کاملFinite Temperature Meson Masses with Improved Quenched Wilson Fermions
We present recent results for meson screening masses with quenched Wilson fermions above and below the confinementdeconfinement phase transition. The action used in the simulation is the Sheikholeslami Wohlert action. The quark masses are chosen to be in a range going from light quarks up to the mass of the charm quark. These results are compared with zero temperature Wilson and high temperatur...
متن کاملPerturbative versus Lattice QCD Energy Density Correlators at High Temperatures†
Correlators of magnetic and electric field energy density are investigated for SU(Nc) gauge theory at high temperatures T . At separations z ≤ 2/T the correlators are shown to be dominated by a power–law behavior even for finite gluon screening masses. This continuum behavior is well approximated on current 4×163–lattices in the perturbative limit and leads to a considerable overestimate of scr...
متن کاملScreening properties of quark–anti-quark correlators in deconfined medium
We present results for the inverse screening lengths (i.e. the screening masses) of quark–antiquark systems belonging to different spin-parity channels. The results are obtained from lattice QCD simulations of 2 + 1 flavors of dynamical quarks with masses that correspond to realistic pion and almost physical kaon masses at zero temperature. For the light quarks our study shows that the screenin...
